Scouting for Food - 2011

Saturday, November 5th we will be gathering to place the paper bags on porches around our community to be filled with donations for our local food pantry.  Scouts along with the help of the leaders and parents will distribute the bags.  Our goal this year is to reach even more homes on more streets.

Plan to join us for an hour or two to help distribute.  The meeting place and time will be announced at a later date.

Fall Camporee

Just a quick reminder.  I need your RSVP for the fall camporee by tomorrow!!  There was a very large group planning to attend before it was rescheduled and now we have less than 12 confirmed.  I still don't know the exact cost, but it will be $5 or less per person.  The pack will still cover the scouts to attend, only the parent(s) going will have to pay the registration fee.  If you were registered to attend the earlier one, you still have to let me know if you are coming on the 29th.

Here is a copy of the schedule and planned events -

Congratulations to the winners in the regatta

Raingutter Regatta

Using just the power of their breath, Cub Scouts ranging from first-grade Tiger Cubs to fifth-grade Webelos raced boats they had built and decorated in a Raingutter Regatta.

Pack 007's event was held on Sunday, October 9th at Eurana Park in Weatherly.  A whopping 36 boats raced to the cheers of the watching parents, grandparents and spectators.

Each den had the opportunity to race against the other boys in their den and 1st, 2nd & 3rd places were awarded certificates.  The winners from each den then went on to race each other to determine 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners for the pack.

Tiger Den - 1st Place - Nathan Herman, 2nd Place - Alexander Herman, 3rd Place - Nathan Tripp
Wolf Den - 1st Place - Brady Walters, 2nd Place - George Prusak, 3rd Place - Owen Podgers
Bear Den - 1st Place - Antonio Colecio, 2nd Place - Ryan Luckwaldt, 3rd Place - Jacob Solonoski
Webelos Den - 1st Place - Chad Obert, 2nd Place - Caleb Schock, 3rd Place - AJ Kislan
Pack Winners - 1st Place - Antonio Colecio, 2nd Place - Caleb Schock, 3rd Place - Ryan Luckwaldt
All the boys participating were awarded the 2011 Regatta Patch.
